Changing the file path of the backup folder in the Mazda Update Toolbox

The Mazda Update Toolbox saves backup files on the main drive of your computer. The installation folder and backup folder locations cannot be changed.

What you can do

If there is not enough free space on the main drive:

  1. Free up storage space on the main drive of your computer.
  2. Open the Mazda Update Toolbox again.
  3. Start the backup process once more.

Alternative backup option

You can also create a manual backup of your SD card:

  1. Insert the SD card into your computer.
  2. Open the SD card in File Explorer on Windows or Finder on macOS.
  3. Copy all files and folders from the SD card to a folder on your computer.
  4. Keep this copy in a safe location as a backup.
