How to apply for corporate customer status on Naviextras

If you are purchasing map updates on behalf of a company, you can apply for corporate customer status through the Naviextras website or the Naviextras Toolbox. Eligible EU businesses with a valid VAT identification number may be able to purchase map updates without VAT once their company details have been verified.

1. Requirements for corporate customer status

To apply for corporate customer status and purchase without VAT, you must:

  • Be a registered business located in the European Union, outside Hungary.
  • Have a valid EU VAT identification number.
  • Provide accurate company information, including your company name and billing address.

Important: Your company details must be verified before you can make purchases without VAT. This process usually takes only a few minutes.

2. Apply on naviextras.com

  1. Visit www.naviextras.com and log in to your account.
  2. Click User profile at the top of the page.
  3. Scroll to the Invoice data section.
  4. Select I am a corporate customer.
  5. Enter your company details and valid EU VAT identification number.
  6. Click Update profile to submit your request.

Your company details will be submitted for automatic verification.

3. Apply using Toolbox 3

  1. Connect your navigation system, SD card, or USB drive to your computer.
  2. Open the Naviextras Toolbox 3 and log in to your account.
  3. Go to Home > Profile > Invoice data.
  4. Select I am a corporate customer.
  5. Enter your company information and valid EU VAT identification number.
  6. Click Update profile to save your changes.

Your corporate status request will then be submitted for automatic verification.

4. Apply using Toolbox 4

  1. Connect your navigation system, SD card, or USB drive to your computer.
  2. Open the Toolbox and log in to your account.
  3. Click the three-line menu icon.
  4. Go to Settings > My account > Invoice address.
  5. Click Edit.
  6. Select I am a corporate user.
  7. Enter your company name, billing address, and valid EU VAT identification number.
  8. Follow the on-screen instructions to submit your details.

Your company information will then be checked automatically.

5. Important information about VAT verification

Your company details are automatically verified through the European Union's VAT Information Exchange System (VIES).

  • Verification usually takes only a few minutes. In some cases, it may take longer.
  • Your company details must be accurate. An invalid VAT number or incorrect company information may prevent successful verification.
  • VAT will apply until verification is complete. Once your corporate status is approved, eligible purchases can be made without VAT.
  • Changing your company details starts a new verification process. If you update your billing information after approval, your corporate status will need to be verified again.
