How to install a Zenec software update

If the Naviextras Toolbox keeps offering the same software update after you have already downloaded it, the update may still need to be installed on your Zenec device.

If a software update is available for your Zenec navigation system, the Toolbox will offer it automatically.

After downloading the update to your map SD card, you must insert the SD card back into your Zenec device and complete the installation there.

If you reconnect the SD card to your computer before completing this step, the Toolbox may offer the same software update again.

How to complete the software update

Follow these steps:

  1. After downloading the software update in the Toolbox, safely remove the map SD card from your computer.
  2. Insert the SD card into your Zenec navigation system.
  3. On the Zenec device, go to Menu > System > Navigation installation.
  4. Select OK.
  5. When the message “Would you like to install…” appears, select Yes.
  6. Wait for the installation to finish.
  7. Start the navigation software.

If an error message appears, make a note of the exact message. This information may be needed if you contact our support team.

If no error appears:

  1. Remove the map SD card from the Zenec device.
  2. Reconnect it to your computer.
  3. Open the Toolbox.
  4. Check whether the map update is now available for installation.

If the Toolbox allows you to continue, you can proceed with the map update.
