How to redeem your prepaid/activation code
If you have received a prepaid/activation code, you can use it to unlock specific navigation content or subscriptions for your device. These codes are unique and can be redeemed only once.
Before starting, please make sure that you are using the Toolbox version compatible with your device model, as most prepaid/activation codes must be redeemed in the Toolbox software and cannot be redeemed on the website, unless stated otherwise.
1. What you need before redeeming a prepaid/activation code
- A valid prepaid/activation code in one of the supported formats:
XXXX‑XXXX‑XXXX‑XXX or XXXX‑XXXX‑XXXX‑XXXX - Your navigation device connected to your computer
- The correct version of Naviextras Toolbox installed
- A stable internet connection
Prepaid/activation codes may come from several sources:
- They may be included in the product packaging.
- They may be provided by distributors.
- For some device models, activation codes can also be purchased directly on the Naviextras website.
These website‑purchased codes must still be redeemed in the Toolbox version compatible with your device model, unless the code description states otherwise.
Most codes unlock a specific type of content, such as a single update or a yearly subscription period.
2. How to redeem your prepaid/activation code in the Toolbox
In Toolbox 3
- Connect your device to your computer.
- Open Naviextras Toolbox 3.
- On the right side of the main screen, select I have a code.
- A pop‑up window will appear.
- Enter your prepaid/activation code.
- Confirm to redeem it.
If the code is valid, the associated content will appear under Updates and can be installed like any other update.
In Toolbox 4
- Connect your device.
- Open Toolbox 4 and log in to your account.
- Select Redeem a code from the main menu.
- Enter your prepaid/activation code.
- Follow the instructions shown on screen.
Once redeemed, the content will become available for installation under Updates.
3. Important notes
- Your device must be connected during the redemption process.
- Prepaid/activation codes can only be redeemed once.
- The unlocked content may remain available for an extended period (for example, for the duration of a subscription).
- Most prepaid/activation codes cannot be redeemed on the Naviextras website unless the description explicitly states otherwise.
4. If you experience an error
If the code is not accepted or you receive an error message, please provide:
- A screenshot of the error message
- The prepaid/activation code you attempted to redeem
- A short description of the steps you followed
This information helps us validate the code and assist you more efficiently.
